This installation plays with the idea of how some birds can learn to mimic cell phone ring tones. The work makes use of recorded bird calls and ring tones, and the sounds can be triggered by external sonic stimuli, or by the recorded sounds themselves. Thus, there is a blending of natural and artificial sounds, creating a dialog that blends and blurs the two.
